*VT state law states that gift certificates cannot expire sooner than 5 years and must be stated on the gift card. My current online GC program cannot add an expiration date so the statement is provided below:

As a small business/sole proprietor I ask for 2 years to redeem gift certificates. However I am legally obligated to honor a gift certificate up to 5 years of purchase. Any gift certificate past 5 years of purchase is expired.
